Q: Chiu Yen, can you share one meaningful moment or lesson you experienced during the mentorship journey?
Chiu Yen: A significant moment was when I realized that my mentor had walked through the same struggles, doubts, and questions I was going through. The realization that I am not alone and that God has placed people in our lives to help us with our journey is comforting. I Kings 19:18
Q: How has this mentorship relationship impacted your faith or connection to the church?
Chiu Yen: At the start of the mentorship program, my mentor asked me about the goals I wanted to achieve. I expressed my desire for deeper spiritual growth and personal development. My mentor not only helped me stay focused on these goals but also held me accountable. It was incredibly liberating to share my life experiences without judgment and to have a trustworthy sounding board.
Q: What would you say to someone considering being part of the mentorship program?
Chiu Yen: If you have set certain goals in your heart and mind but are struggling to reach them, a mentor may be able to come alongside you and provide support. We were never made to walk alone. Ecclesiastes 4:12
